This quilt was made for Mum's 60th Birthday (17th Oct) and finished it last Wednesday. I will be giving it to her on the 18th October when she flies in from Hong Kong. I got the pattern from the Quilters Cache and is called cross apon cross, The block size is 15 inch.

A happy birthday to your mum! Very, very cool colors, is that batik or patterned on the black? Also, what pattern did you end up quilting it with? I can't see it. So far the only thing I can think to do with such pretty blocks is to back tack them or possibly in the ditch if I could ever muster it.

I quilted in the ditch across the crosses and around each block and arround the border I used a 2" Wave stencil. Glad you liked it.

Fab quilt Sharon, I love the way you've reversed the colours in alternate blocks, gives it a posative/negative effect, stunning

That is really beautiful Sharon! Please post a photo of your Mum with the quilt! She's sure to love it, and if she's like a lot of Mums, she'd be willing to pose so she can show it off properly.
