Here's my latest baby quilt, pattern from fatcatpatterns.

kwiltkrazy 01-17-2012 05:03 PM

The back is a story I made up about the front animals on the front called off to slumberland. Size of quilt is51"x52"

Such a cute little quilt!! Wonderful color choices and I really like the echo quilting as it just sets off the animals and gives them motion.

kwiltkrazy 01-17-2012 05:09 PM

Forgot to say that this was all made from my scrap bag, and the back story panel is done with crayons and oilpastels(water soluable).

kwiltkrazy 01-17-2012 05:14 PM

Thanks Aubrey, it was quite a lot of fun. even though it made a much larger quilt than I expected. Fatcat has a lot of really neat quilt patterns.

kwiltkrazy 01-17-2012 05:16 PM

Thanks buslady. Can't wait to see the reaction of the parents I am giving it to.

Oh, I love this pattern! I've been looking at it for a couple years, wanting to make it for my grandson, but while procrastinating, he seemed to grow up too much for it. I love the pattern, though, and might just still make it for him (he's 3 now, and he got a "transportation" quilt instead, since he loves cars and trucks and trains!!!).

Great job. It is adorable.

Sometimes the only way I see new posts is to do some stalking! This is a great quilt Lucinda. So glad you included the unquilted pic first; lovely as is, but wow everything pops when you add your stupendous FMQ. And all from your scraps, too.

feline fanatic 03-23-2012 09:02 AM

This is sew cute. Love that you gave us before and after quilting shots. Great job.

Can you share the story you put on the back?
