I have a baby shower this afternoon (yes it is just after midnight) and had to get this done for it. Thanks for all the border suggestions!!!

I have not made a label for this one yet as the baby is due in a couple of weeks. I'll make a label with birth date, weight etc after he's born and borrow the quilt back to sew it on

It's exciting- the colors are vibrant and catchy- just what a baby needs!

Great job- catch some sleep now.

Cute fabrics! Are you going to call it "Under the Sea"????

mpspeedy 03-15-2009 08:21 AM

What a wonderful quilt for a boy. He will be able to treasure it for years to come without it being labeled as "baby". Great job.

Thanks for the complements. However, I forgot to pick up a gift bag or wrapping paper for baby. I hope she doesn't care if I use some of the wedding bags I have here from my DD's wedding!!! No card either. I was so intent on getting these done, I didn't think about presentation!!!

Oh, I always re-use bags. Who cares? It's what's inside that counts, right? Or just tie it up with some yarn/ribbon and give it like it is. You can cut a pc of a grocery bag into a little gift tag shape and thread it through the yarn for a card. I've done that before.

Oh! And it's a cute quilt! LOL! I forgot to say that.

The quilt is so darn cute. Has the pattern a name or is it an original that you did?
