This was a fast quilt for me although I didn't feel good during all but the final stages. It turned out well in spite of me! I'd call this quilting cattails. After looking at the cats on the fabric so long, the tail shape just seemed to call to me. I am pleased and think the proud first time parents will be too.
I tried something different with the binding and was pleased with the results. Do you see where I ran out of red binding and used orange the last few inches!! Measure twice, I know. Problem is, I didn't measure at all!!Smart move  Best part, it's ready to become a little boys first quilt!! Ditter front back? How cute!! I love it when folks make backs that are as fun as the fronts. I'm too lazy. I never would have noticed the binding. The same thing happened to me on one lately. Ooops.

|
cute! can't tell the back from the front!

I think it's so cute. Some little boy is going to be very lucky to get that. Great job.

just adorable!

Thanks for your kind remarks. The green was added as an afterthought when I found out the room was done in blue and green. The pictures showing the whole quilt aren't that clear. I labored over the back for quite a while trying to make it come out right. That's the problem with not following a pattern!

Sweet quilt and those cat tails are cute. I think I'd be tempted to present the quilt with a clothespin and envelope explaining that "The orange part is where you clothespin the envelope you leave for the tooth fairy." Jois |
Darling front & back!

Very cute! And reversable too???? I still can't see the difference in the binding. I doubt that anyone else will either. Great quilt.

Beautiful and I just love the back...a wonderful first quilt for a little man.
|
I love that border fabric. Very cute.

Very cute. I'm not brave enough to do a two sided quilt. I'd be afraid one side would be out of whack with the other. I'm told the flaws are what give a quilt personality, if that is so, my quilts are loaded with personality
