This is the first quilt I finished. It is a wallhanging for my best friend who just moved to Tennessee last summer. I had it quilted-by-credit-card at my LQS.

That is one awesome job that you did. I just love everything about it. Did you start with a panel of some kind?
Debbie |
WOW.. great job!
|
Debbie, Yes, it was a panel with the 15 printed blocks. If you're interested, I may remember where I purchased it on-line.
Dawn, thanks. |
I would be very interested. I just love those. I used to live out your way in Bakersfield. LOL It was so good to get away from the heat!

Very nice - your friend will think of hugging you every time she looks at it! Which LQS did the quilting? It looks great. :D

zyxquilts, the quilting was done by The Quilted Quail here in Ridgecrest, CA.

Congrats!! :) Connie AtHomeSewing |
Are the printed blocks appliqued on top? Would love to know where you purchased the panel.
|
roseville rose - the printed blocks come on a panel. You just fussy cut them out and sew them together just like any pieced block. When I get home tonight I will try to get the manufacturer and fabric line and will post tomorrow.
I will also look up the pattern. It was in a magazine about 2 years ago. |
Very very nice!!!

|
What a fantastic quilt!! You did a great job on your first one! And the quilting is magnificent.

Found the pattern last night. :D My LQS printed it out for me from a magazine on-line. Don't know what magazine they got it from.
The pattern is "Christmas Constellation" by Susan Winget for Benartex. The fabric collection is called Christmas Treasures and I just checked and Benartex is still carrying this line. If you want the pattern PM me with your address. If I have too many requests, I may ask you to send me a self-addressed stamped envelope. It is a very easy pattern to do (as I am still basically a beginner). My LQS did the quilting. They have a minimum of $35 so that is what I paid for this. Don't know if that is the going rate as we seem to pay more in this town than anywhere else. (Gas is still $2.39) |
That is so beautiful.
|
I love it!!!
