First T-shirt quilt
1 Attachment(s)
During the summer a girl called me and asked me to make her a t-shirt quilt. I told her I knew the concept but had never made one before. She said she was willing if I was. So, I thought, What the heck. Why not give it a whirl. My friend GailG sent me the stabilizer because I had absolutely no idea what to buy. I had looked in the stores closest to me and couldn't find anything that sounded like what I needed. Anyway, I prepared the blocks the way she told me. The only thing is I didn't have enough stabilizer for the corner sashings. So, they have a little give to them. All in all, I think it turned out pretty good for a first go around anyway. What do you think?

Well, the give-it-a-whirl attitude worked a treat. Great job...love the cornerstones and the sashing fabric, works really well with the T's. Thanks for sharing.

Well, Leesa!! Girl, you really got it together! Awesome!! The cornerstones are great. For next time: (wink-wink) you can back those little pieces with a soft woven cotton. I know you've got the bug now. You'll be looking for tee shirts to make another one. Great job:thumbup:

This quilt is great. I have some t-shirts and knit material. This would be a great way to use that material up.

You did a wonderful job, I love black and white , now you know how to do it. I looks like you don't need any help, but if you forget how, Missouri star quilt co. has a video it explains the whole process, You and your husband do such beautiful work.
