Two aims with this one (a) use up scraps, including 3 different white on whites and (b) some FMQ practice.
Its 63 ins square, very snuggly, I used Dream Puff batting for warmth. The thread is a lovely vibrant multi- coloured King Tut called Jacobs Coat.

Terri, don't be mean. You're just mad because I asked first

Katrine 04-08-2009 07:03 AM

Now, now, girls ... actually I wasn't planning to show it to you all, as it was started as just a wrap-around - but I was happy with the way it turned out.
I am trying to only do freehand FMQ as I can't be bothered with the hassle of marking! This one was not too difficult as I could "sight line" the divisions in the 9 patches to try & stay reasonably even. Even so there are a few funny shapes here and there!

Mission accomplished! Did it put a dent in the scraps? I love white backgrounds and the thread pops out. So, do you feel better about your FmQ- I couldn't tell you needed practice.

Terri and I are NOT fussing -- I get the quilt because I asked first! And if Terri says anything different, well, she's wrong!! :-)

Katrine 04-09-2009 09:44 AM

Uh - I can see I am going to have to bequeath it to you Joyce!!

Thank you all for your generous remarks - I'm getting fired up to take on the queen I have ready for quilting now.

Loretta - custom? do you mean as an order? Nope, my nerve wouldn't hold up to that!
