Very pretty. I belong to an applique group and we meet twice a month at the instructors house and she's teaching us how to make flowers and a basket. We are now making, blue bell flowers, tulips, a few others that I forget and how to make a ruche flower. This lady is so talented; She's taught me how to do 3 different Civil War quilts all with different blocks, how to do reverse applique and now the baskets with flowers. I have so much respect for her as a teacher and a person and I'm so glad that I started quilting a few years ago and met her right off the bat. You did such a great job.

How you make me wish I could join your group! On the (ever-growing) bucket list,I want to do another one. Enjoy your time with the group and your teacher.

Thanks for appreciating the flowers. There was no pattern.
We were given a piece of fabric for the basket and were told to bring the backgound ( all sewn together) to class along with some floral fabrics. Our instructor then did a demo on broderie perse, a yo-yo and the tulip-like flowers. She also showed us how to do the yellow sunflowers and then told us to start playing and have fun. Some of the other ladies in class preferred a more organised look and found inspiration in flower arrangement books. I just went though my piles of old magazines and found instructions for 3D flowers to make a variety of flowers. When I had the flowers, I started adding them to the basket and then had loads of fun with the embroidery and beading. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn many new skills.
