It's a learning curve to go back to basics!
I have been using a Brother 6000 for about 1.5 years now without the foot pedal. I got real used to pushing that button! I am learning (again!) on my new-to-me 1936 Miss MAM and just stitched her up a cover to try FMQ on her. It's pretty obvious that I need more practice at the FMQ and I did a lot of ripping because of rat's nests underneath. I just grabbed some scraps and had a fun couple of days between tension issues and trying to remember that most things don't work without the presser foot down. I joked to DH that I need a BIG sign saying PRESSER FOOT DOWN! LOL And for the Teddi lovers out there - a spot got freed up on the bottom shelf, I moved her bed when I vacuumed and she seems to have no problem with it's new position. cover FMQ closeup Teddi |
oh, your cat looks so much like mine. he likes to sleep in an old wooden file cabinet drawer. I was going to toss the drawer in the trash, but decided to let him keep it.
