Hey Everyone! I hope you are all staying warm and that everyone has a Merry Christmas.

I am at my parents today and I just got down from the attic where I found in my great grandma's old trunk a bunch of quilting squares and some were done into blocks already. These are from sometime in the 70's I think. She died in 1984 and hadn't done any quilting since 1980 when her eyesight got so bad that she couldn't see the thread and needle anymore. My mom didn't even know these were in the trunk, she had never opened it. Besides these things there were several old newspapers, eyeglasses, sheets etc.....

Henry -

That is a real Christmas treasure. I hope you make something awesome out of them. Are there enough that you could center a project for all your family members around one block? That way everyone could have one of Grandma's blocks.

It's funny how everything comes back around, isn't it? Brown combos (with pink, turquoise, mint green, or light blue) have become very popular again.

Merry Christmas,

Darren
