You sew 1 inch strips together, then sew the last strip to the first strip, right sides together, and cut 1 inch the other way to form circles. Take apart the circle...going down a seam for each circle. Press seams open. Sew strips of blocks together matching seams. Trim, baste top to batting and backing. Quilt, trim excess and bind. I used a 1 1/2 inch strip and did a double fold binding. Making the strip slightly larger, 1 3/4? would probably make the mitering easier.

I finished the little quilt tag and got the MOST VOTES at the club meeting! Here is a picture of the finished name tag. I won a set of acrylic ruler/templates for Storm at Sea!
