Bought 2 bags @$2.99 each. Here are the contents.
The metal bobbins are rusty. Most spools are wooden. Rose cardboard has needles from Stanley. I have no clue how the bobbins are used. |
Wonderful find :D:D:D

WOW

Are these pre-wound bobbins????
|
It looks like some of the pre-wound bobbins are the 'M' size--used in LA's..... probably polyester thread. Great find and great savings!
The pre-wounds don't need to be put on your bobbin. Just slide into bobbin case and thread like normal. Some of the machines need to have both side of the cardboard taken off to work right. No, it doesn't hurt the bobbin or the way your machine will work because these are packed so tight they won't fall apart. |
What a great find!! I love those wooden spools, so cool! :D
|
Most bobbins look like cotton thread, and some are quite thick. Others have ATCO and the letter L or A on them. One says Star Bobbin Styles American Thread Nylon E. Gonna have to use my judgement here. Some are two tall to fit in my machine. Will use my Sidewinder to put on appropriate bobbins. Thanks.

I just use them as spools on top so I can see if they have problems.
|
Using on top is definitely a better idea. Thanks.

Wow, love all of your goodies. I took an old big pickle jar the big one and have it filled with old wooden thread spools, looks so cool
