Grocery Totes

I found this pattern, and the fabric to make the tote, at a thrift shop for $2.99. The pattern instructions were less than steller, the project pictures went from being a rectangular bag to a trapezoid with no explanation, steps were missing in the directions and some cut piece sizes were rather dubious but all in all, an easy pattern construction wise so I was able to figure it out and make adjustments. Now I have bags to take to the Farmer's Market!

How pretty! Did you have to reinforce the bottom?

Will you also use it to purchase chocolate? Very good execution when the directions were less than helpful. Good work!

that is cute. I have some totes but I want to make some out of home dec fabric for myself. I will need quite a few for my shopping trips. :)

Despite the bad instructions, you did a great job. My problem is that I always forget to take my bags.

No, I didn't have to reinforce the bottom. It's 2 layers w/batting and quilted so nice and thick. But the bottom piece was cut to fit the trapezoid shape, which was not the shape I made based on the pieces I cut and the directions, so I ended up gathering the sides at the bottom.
