We studied small expressions or sketches. Wonderful week. Here are my first three tries. I loved the freedom of color and size. Too small = add more. Too big = cut it off.

We worked mostly in solids.

That sounds like a great class, and something I should definitely learn...I am so wanting to quit being so critical of myself...I am not like that with anyone else...and my quilting group gals always tell me to quit taking out my work...and just relax!...so, will have to check into that technique...love how those quilts look...all of them!!!

Gwen's best book, one of many, is Liberated Quilting II. Her retreat is not so much a class as a chance to pick her brain and get her personal attention for questions and suggestions for your own work.

Each week (there are 5 individual week retreats) there are 30 quilters and we have a blast. You can take so many chances with a tiny study and scraps.
