Hand-quilted Kaleidoscope for In-laws
 

Just finished (kinda) this kaleidoscope for my husband's brother and wife. Always more quilting to be done, but done enough to show them. (I'm not sure they like it though. :-(

Well, if they dont like it...I certainly wouldnt put more work into it, unless you are planning to keep it yourself. I think its beautiful. Great job!!

That is such a beautiful quilt!! If these people mean a lot to you, ask them that if the colors or pattern are not to their liking you could make another one better suited to their taste. Then keep this beauty for yourself, and make another one with a simpler pattern and using their colors. And for Heaven's sake don't hand quilt that one... they don't seem to have much appreciation for your lovely handwork and effort!

Well, I wouldn't give it to them if they even got close to saying they didn't like it. I think it is gorgeous. SO MUCH WORK INTO THIS QUILT.

Beautiful quilt!! I know the feeling. I made the "fairy quilt" for my granddaughter for her birthday(7), we went to their home for Christmas, while playing with her in her bedroom I found it thrown up on the top shelf in her closet. It made me sad.

I think you did a great job! Too bad they can 't appreciate the work that goes into a hand quilted project. We other quilters do though!

why I think they're not keen on it: no enthusiasm in response to seeing it on their bed.

not like it? well, some people don't appreciate all the work that goes into quilting. or maybe it is the colors. don't fret, just finish it and give it to them. then go onto other people and dont' go back. it's lovely!!
