Happy 85th Birthday Mom!

Since my mom didn't want gifts for her 85th Birthday, I decided on this Fan pattern to make a "Circle of Friends" Quilt. Her friends and family wrote their birthday greetings and/or signed the blades of the circle with a dark purple pigma pen. I heat set the signatures. Purple is her favorite color and the dragonflies reminded me of her love of gardening and flowers. The first photo shows the colors the best.

Such a beautiful quilt. Congrats to your mom on her birthday...you're so lucky to still have her with you. My mom passed a year ago and I made her a purple quilt as well. What is it about mom's and purple? (((((Hugs)))))
