I'm a long-time sewer but fairly new to quilting. I got bitten by the quilting bug a few months ago, while doing a set of machine embroidery scriptures. I thought, "Wow, they'd look great as a wall hanging ....." and my first quilt was born. I don't have it completed yet, because I'm still trying to decide whether to sash it or not, but I have finished a couple of smaller quilts since then, and they are pictured here. The purple window pane was my first, and the log cabin in yellows and reds became my husband's as soon as he saw it. It's a nice feeling when your family loves what you do, too.
