Here is the beginnings of a Christmas lap quilt for one of my nephews or nieces. I will decide who this one is for as Christmas gets closer.

One big block done before it meets the square

Got the center fabric solely because of the saying printed on it

Yes it is flannel. You need to have at least one quilt made from flannel around your house for those really cold evenings. :)

That is so nice Henry - I love plaids!! Never worked with flannel - may have to get some for cold nights in Maine.

gcathie 09-23-2008 04:42 AM

It has been gloriously mild here all last week and now the start of this week too. I hope it stays this way.

Its a little tricky cause it stretches but it is worth it cause you have a nice warm quilt.

I am trying to be. I have 7 nieces and nephews. I want to try to do each one of them a small lap quilt by Christmas. Think I can do it???

sandpat 09-23-2008 05:38 AM

Henry, how cute is that!!! If I were your little kin folk, I would be on my
"best" behavior to make sure I got the quilt. Well, actually, knowing me, it would be the most "entertaining" behavior

Strip piecing!

Cathy M 09-23-2008 08:29 AM

Henry- I firmly believe that you can do anything you put your mind to. So far you've climbed every mountain you've come to. So my vote is a definite yes that you can get them all done. Now wrapping them and getting them mailed is a different story :) :) :)

CissyQuilts 09-23-2008 08:55 AM

Very nice, Henry! It looks so warm and soft. :D

Quilt4u 09-23-2008 11:58 AM
