Oh Chele! This is one I can't let my daughter see, or else I'll have to hear about "a polka dotted quilt please mommy!" Everytime she sees polka dots she wants me to buy more fabric to make her another dress. :)

quiltgirl53 09-15-2008 11:29 AM

Very nice quilt and on one quilting show (can't remember who) they said take a couple of cd's glue together and put some kind of rubber backing on one side and use that as a way to quilt circles. I don't know how it would work but sounded interesting.

wraez 09-17-2008 10:07 AM

It's so HAPPY!! It looks like a party!

Skeat 09-18-2008 12:29 PM

reneebobby..you are right w/that cd thought. They use them as a guide for the open toe to follow around. great idea too and hadn't thought of using those as guide. If you make the object thick enough...you won't run over it w/the quilting foot:))Just around it.

I love this one chele!! So bright and love the circle idea. Good thinking!! And, did you say this was a raffle??:0)LOL Skeat

Chele

As usual another beauty, you use such wonderful fabrics for all of your projects. Is this for a baby - you've just got me thinking, as something similar would be ideal for my nieces new arrival - Josh.
Could you let me know the name of the pattern block please

Tisha :D

Thanks everyone! I just made up the block pattern. Start with a 4" square in the center, sew two 2.5" x 4" rectangles to the sides. Then cut two 7-7/8" rectangles and sew to the top and bottom.

I'm not sure who will get this quilt. My daughter has her eye on it! LOL!

Andie 09-19-2008 03:54 PM

a great way to quilt it would be to use different sizes fo plates to mark it Have fun
