After months of sewing at my dining room table and lots of backaches, I started looking for a sewing table for my new sewing machine. I realized quickly that a new sewing table was out of my reach. So I started searching the web for a inexpensive solution. There wasn't much out there so I came up with my own solution. It came out so great I thought I'd share. Here is a link to how I did it.

it looks wonderful did you do it yourself or did someone cut the boards for you,if you tell me your husband did it then im going to add it to my husband,s list of things to make for me :D one of these years i hope in my life time :D

I cut the boards myself. Really its not that much cutting. I used power tools but the hand tools are probably easier to use. They just may take a little more elbow grease. Measuring and drilling the holes for the boards and making the template takes the most time, but I finished this project in a day. Its only one cut for the support board because I used a 1 by 12 which actually measures 3/4 thick by 11 1/4 wide, if you by 2 ft long 1 by 12 you just cut it to length. The top two boards had to be cut to length and the width. So it was two cuts each for them plus cutting the template design.
I hope this is helpful.
