Hummel Embroidery Quilt

This has been the most miserable quilt I have ever made! Nothing went right with it! It is very heavy, I put the designs on pre quilted material, then had to batt the other parts seperate. It was to heavy for me to quilt at home so my friend put it on her new long arm, we did a terrible job with it, then her husband accidently locked her cat in the quilt room....yup, it peed on the center of the quilt. I soaked it before I went any farther to see if it was ruined but thankfully it came out. The idea was good but did not come out like I wanted it to.. I will try it again with just cotton and see how it goes. Thanks for looking! The embroidery is Pfaff and the quilt pattern is Tennessee Waltz.

Well, it may not be what you thought it would be, but from what I see it is just gorgeous!! You're going to like it when you forget how much "trouble" it was. Enjoy!

Marycumi 01-09-2013 05:07 PM

Your memories of all the troubles are too recent. It's beautiful!

Oh my goodness- that is a beautiful quilt! You will love it more on those cold Michigan nights when you are all snuggled up underneath it staying warm. All your bad memories of it will have faded away and it will earn it's well deserved love. You deserve a big HUG for all your efforts. Good job!

I'm sorry things did not turn out as you had expected it to but what I can see of the quilt, it looks absolutely stunning! Hopefully with time, you will fell a lit better about it and see it with different eyes. Best wishes. :)

Greenheron 01-10-2013 06:04 AM

"That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger." Hats off to you for persistence, strength in adversity, courage to ask for help and fortitude when confronted with pussy panic pee. Seriously, lots of us would have given up, so three cheers to you.

gabeway 01-10-2013 07:39 AM

Looks great to me! Love the colors.

Jingle 01-10-2013 11:21 AM

Its beautiful and all your hard work and troubles made it all worth while. None of them show up on the finished quilt.

I have bought some designs at quilt shows, others at quilt stores that sell Paff machines. The designs come as a kit with the thread, there is a few doff kits now.

lfstamper 01-11-2013 10:44 AM

It doesn't show the misery you describe...beautiful quilt!

Pat P 01-12-2013 06:48 AM

The quilting pattern perfectly frames the embroidery.
