I love to work with felted wool. I just finished this cute candle mat, for a Christmas gift, for some dear friends. I hope they like it.

That is wayyy tooo pretty to cover with a candle. How is that done? Is it felted or is that wool applique? Its really pretty..I'd like to try my hand at one sometime.

Thank you for the cmopliment. No, it isn't difficult at all. If you can make quilt blocks, you can make these. It is a lot like applique. I think it is more time comsuming than quilting, but I love to do it for a change. Happy Holidays, Cheryl |

I have to agree with you about covering it with a candle. I just like to look at it, instead. I use felted wool that you can buy at the fabric store. It is a lot of cutting & embroidery work, to put it together. But, it is so fun. Thanks for looking, Cheryl |
