I was moaning about how much I want to get done before Christmas....FOR Christmas.... William offered to help! He cut, and then sat down to stitch!

Gotta love him!!

What a treasure...I have a husband like that...he also is a treasure.

Go William! You rock! Richard will fix, shop, and cook, but the only time he's sat at the machine unless was when fixing it. Wait, once he sat on my chair close to the machine to visit while I worked at the cutting table. The boys came in and caught him sitting at the machine.....they teased him without mercy. (Does that count?)

lizpatterson1 12-09-2010 09:03 PM

That is so sweet.

stitchingmemories 12-09-2010 09:44 PM

Colorful Quilter 12-09-2010 09:59 PM

When you got a good one , you better keep him! My honey is very helpful too, only NOT at my sewing machine!!

Jim's Gem 12-09-2010 10:22 PM

What a sweetheart!!!

Mine won't sew but he will cook and clean and do other things so that I can get projects done that need to get out the door.

mirabelle 12-09-2010 11:18 PM

Definitely a keeper  does he realize he has now become famous

kwiltkrazy 12-09-2010 11:22 PM

Rainy Day 12-10-2010 12:15 AM

He soooo knows he is scoring Brownie Points! That face says it all!

Dawnmarieodya 12-10-2010 12:17 AM

SueDor 12-10-2010 03:16 AM

He's a keeper!

978gray 12-10-2010 03:23 AM

Wow. Don't loose him and be sure to bake some cookies for him too (I use homemade cookies as a bribe when I need my husband to help me with someting but he has never agreed to sew!)

SuziC 12-10-2010 03:25 AM

Awesome helper you have there. Mine is the same way and am thankful every day :!: Merry Christmas :!:

Charlee 12-10-2010 07:36 AM

William does much of the cooking anyway, so for him to cook for me while I sew wouldn't be unusual! He's a wonderful man, and I'm thankful everyday for the day that he walked into my life!! :)

I'll show you a picture of the project when we get it done, he refuses to put on the ruffle or quilt it! LOL

nativetexan 12-10-2010 07:38 AM

talk about giving you a break!!!

qwkslver 12-10-2010 07:47 AM

Awesome.

0tis 12-10-2010 08:21 AM

Definitely a keeper - I think we are very lucky to have such good men. My hubby supports my fabric/quilting habit and will even drive me to the LQS and wait patiently while I shop.

sueisallaboutquilts 12-10-2010 08:57 AM

Awww love the pic!!!!!!!!!! :D
Mine does wonders in the kitchen!!

kathy 12-10-2010 09:00 AM

HOW SWEET! mine would say "well you better stay up late" LOL

MommaDorian 12-10-2010 09:01 AM

Wow, definitely a good guy!! My hubby won't go near my machine. I've never asked him to cut, but he might. He did take me to the Des Moines quilt show though, rather than making me go with a friend. He was quite intrigued with the computer stuff. lol

lynnie 12-10-2010 10:41 AM

He sounds like a charm!!!!

Izaquilter 12-10-2010 10:52 AM

Mine says when he retires he is going to learn to quilt. I find that hard to swallow. Should he start buying his own stash or should I share mine (which he bought) LOL hard to let go but I guess we will see when he retires

ForestHobbit 12-10-2010 01:55 PM

That man is a keeper for sure.

tweetee 12-10-2010 02:11 PM

Wish my hubby would do that!! He doesnt set foot in my sewing room. Your hubby is a sweetie for helping you out

mommamac 12-10-2010 02:13 PM

somebody loves you that for sure!

Hammockhanger 12-10-2010 02:43 PM

Big time keeper!!

Debbie B 12-10-2010 02:45 PM

A man that sews and handsome, too...you've been blessed!

Bubblegum0077 12-10-2010 02:46 PM

Oh what a cutie. Multi-functional is good.!

My husband built an HDTV antena from directions on the internet, so we cut cable off and now we have a few basic channels. Good for me because I want to close up my screen porch.

JEM65 12-10-2010 02:48 PM

He's a keeper Charlee!

Yarn or Fabric 12-10-2010 02:55 PM

wow! I'd ask if you wanted to trade but I don't blame you for not passing him up!

I am happy that my husband doesn't mind when I go in to the craft cave all weekend long so I shouldn't complain but man it would be sweet if he would cut for me! I hate cutting!!

Rntraveler 12-10-2010 05:33 PM

You guys that have a man like that better hang on to them... they are hard to find...lucky you!

amandasgramma 12-10-2010 05:47 PM

Yip -- William is a treasure!!!!! :) :) and a good cook, too!!!!

mrs theo 12-10-2010 05:50 PM

Definitely a keeper :)

klgreene 12-10-2010 05:55 PM

Oh yeah, he's a keeper. I'll keep mine too, but not because he helps me quilt. Because he cooks! But he does listen to my ideas, even if he doesn't want to.

amma 12-11-2010 01:56 PM
