I'm sooo excited. I just finished my first quilt. Here are pictures of it. I made it using pieces of my daughters old shirts, the cream portion is from an old couch cover that we never used and some of the material I bought from a fabric store because I didn't have enough clothes to make the entire quilt.

i love that is has your daughter's shirts. that's what i remember best about my grandmas quilts. i could recoginze our former clothes when i snuggled with her quilts. what great memories.

Thanks everyone!! I haven't figured out what I will be making next but I'm already going crazy without having one to work on. I have a few sick children this week but when they are feeling better I'll be making a trip to the fabric store and probably get started trying out some of the BOM's that are posted here - that seems like it would be lots of fun!!

A few years ago I saw a quilt for sale in a magazine for a few hundred dollars. It was absolutely gorgeous and I really wanted it for my bed. I am trying to find that quilt so I can see a picture of it and hopefully tackle making one for myself.
