on a baby quilt that I am working for my oldest daughter's baby shower that is this coming weekend. Should I put the hot pink around each block or just sew all the blocks together and just put borders around them? Also I had heard somewhere that if you use minkies type fabric as backing that it cant be quilted on a longarm. Does anyone know if this true? If I use cotton or flannel on the back will it be able to be quilted on a longarm if a few of the blocks on the front are minkies and there is not to be any quilting on those blocks?
Thanks for your help, Robyn |
I like the blocks with the pink around them.

I like the pink stripping. Wonderful quilt. Sorry I can't answer the other question as I don't know about the minky.

I like that shashing,
I am not sure on the minky, I have done some long arm quliting but have yet to try doing minky, I imagine that it is because it stretches more than anything. though for sure, it is a best guess, so whether they will do it with any on the front is beyond me, I would ask whom ever is doing it, and if it is you, I would do some samples to see how well it works, |
I can't give any advice about the minky questions, but I love the pink around the blocks!

Yup! I like the pink around each individual block, too!

I like the pink around the blocks. As far as the longarm quilting, I don't know that.
