Perfect! Great quilt!

quilt queen 2 11-11-2011 11:57 AM

I think your colors are fine but the main thing is that you like them!

liking quilting 11-11-2011 11:58 AM

I might try this pattern next. It looks like fun. I like reds and pinks, so I give your colors a thumbs up.

QuiltingJaguar 11-11-2011 11:58 AM

Every time I look at your quilt project my eyes pick up something else. Different patterns in it, love it you did a great job on it.

msdrae 11-11-2011 12:02 PM

I like the colors together and I like the pattern. Do you like it? That is what is important. The colors are not something I would have chosen, but we all pick what we are draw to.

Nanaquilts44 11-11-2011 12:18 PM

I think it loods wonderful!

MistyMarie 11-11-2011 12:23 PM

I like more contrast, but subtle differences in color can be a good combination too. I think you are doing a lovely job.

QuiltnLady1 11-11-2011 12:32 PM

I like the blocks -- you did a great job with the color selection.

QuiltnNan 11-11-2011 12:36 PM

the colors are great! you're doing a good job

StitchinJoy 11-11-2011 12:37 PM

I love it. It's my favorite color!

Really it's a two-color quilt--red and white. And that's a classic.

If you feel unsure with color, this is a good way to start. Choose 2 or 3 colors that you love together, and limit yourself to them. Just see if you like the way they look together. Your eyes will know. Your brain doesn't need to get too involved.

sewingsuz 11-11-2011 12:44 PM

perfect, nice contrast.

sewingsuz 11-11-2011 12:46 PM

perfect, nice contrast. What pattern is this? I like it

laurafet 11-11-2011 12:46 PM

Shirls4sons 11-11-2011 01:15 PM

I like the colors 'cause red is my favorite. I also like your small print and large print balance. Nice quilt.

Zephyr 11-11-2011 01:22 PM

Nice job with good contrast. I've made several boxy stars, a really neat pattern.

Lori S 11-11-2011 01:31 PM

I do like the colors, What is it that you do not like?

roadrunr 11-11-2011 01:32 PM

It looks nice. You will have a pretty quilt when you're done.

bjchad 11-11-2011 01:35 PM

I really like the colors and fabrics you used in these blocks!

twixbar 11-11-2011 02:12 PM

Great looking quilt.

joyce888 11-11-2011 02:19 PM

I think it looks great. I like how the pattern makes it look like it's a two sided fabric.

Juliebelle 11-11-2011 02:22 PM

Looks great to me

snow 11-11-2011 02:23 PM

Beautiful quilt love the colors!

javin22 11-11-2011 02:37 PM

Looks great to me.

sewnsewer2 11-11-2011 03:06 PM

I think the colors look good together.

0tis 11-11-2011 03:13 PM

I have made three or four quilts and table toppers using this pattern - I love it.
One thing I have done is keep the inside star colors close to the same - then the outside box doesn't show up so much - its one of those patterns that can look different depending on the colors and placement. I think you did a great job. Just keep going - when you finish and get all the blocks together - it can look completely different. Good luck.

joysewer 11-11-2011 03:14 PM

I think it looks great!!

QandE2010 11-11-2011 03:38 PM

It looks great to me. Color, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. So go with what YOU like. There are no quilt police here. LOL

MaggieMeg 11-11-2011 04:43 PM

I think it is very pretty. I like the colors, too.

Nettie Phillips 11-11-2011 05:00 PM

I like the colors but you are the one that has to live with it.

BSKTLOFR-QUILTER 11-11-2011 05:14 PM

I think you do very well with colors. I will admit colors can be intimidating to me too. I'm a beginner and am uncertain of my color choices at times also. I'm working on a Log Cabin that's I'm still not certain I chose the right colors but only time will tell. I think it looks great and I like the pattern. I find it interesting that the pattern changes with placement as suggested up above. I will have to try this pattern. Thanks for sharing.
