I bought I Spy Squares off the board and backing for this I Spy baby girl quilt. It was the first time I used dotted fabric as back ground fabric. I wasn't sure when I was cutting and piecing but now I think it is a very happy, lighter colors, girly I Spy quilt.

Me, too! And now they seem to be back in style, as I'm seeing more of them in fabric collections. This darling little quilt makes great use of them!

Very good job!

I think the pattern you used really suits an I Spy quilt. The white relieves the "busy-ness" of the I Spy blocks and complements the overall look of the quilt. Also love your backing fabric. Thanks for sharing.

audsgirl 04-04-2012 10:13 PM

I love it and the polka dots !!!!!

SoozeeDoozee 04-05-2012 02:13 AM

What a sweet quilt. The polka dot stars lend a visual interest that a solid color would not - great choice!

girlsfour 04-05-2012 03:30 AM

That is really cute!!! Liking the polka dots-will have to do something like that in the future!

pls1946 04-05-2012 03:43 AM

Very clever use of polka dots.....

I did change it as the I Spy squares where 6 inches to start with. I used 3 3/8 inch squares to make the triangles.
I hope this is helpful.
