Beautiful:) I wish I like yard work. I'd rather have a root canal:):):) Keep us posted as everything grows.

jaymemade 06-14-2011 03:38 PM

Looks wonderful!

katiescraftshop 06-14-2011 03:47 PM

Nice yard! I wouldn't mind a snooze on the hammock.

rootyr 06-14-2011 03:49 PM

Looks GREAT... I love Flowers.

Your yard is beautiful. We have gophers and I haven't gardened in 2 years. I got tired of having to replace my plants (feed the gophers). I have not found a solution to the problem, so I will look at your yard when I need a garden fix.

annyroony2 06-14-2011 04:24 PM

Beautiful yard!

emerald46 06-14-2011 04:24 PM

Absolutely gorgeous. Too much heat and no rain does not make a good garden. Water from the sprinkler just doesn't cut it. Maybe we'll have pretty fall flowers!

GwenH 06-14-2011 04:26 PM

Very nice yard and flowers... I wish mine looked as good as yours!

When we moved here, there were lots of chipmunks and we got two little Jack Russel terriers. They are the answer! Just now,my husband shot a coon out of a tree and they enjoyed taking over. They are never aggressive to children, just love to hunt critters!

Your yard is beautiful. I could use some help with mine.

quilter2 06-14-2011 04:43 PM

Your flower beds are beautiful, love all the flowers, also veggies.

sisLH 06-14-2011 04:46 PM

I love peonies so much and can't get them to stay around, so I 'saved' the picture of yours to put as my computer backdrop.

mequilter 06-14-2011 04:50 PM

I just love your pictures, everything is so beautiful! Peonies have to be my all time favorite flower. Thank you for sharing these!

Lucymae 06-14-2011 04:50 PM

Your hostas are huge! I think our weather may be too hot here. Your raised beds are so neat....and weedless!!! How do you find time to make quilts and garden? Great job on the garden. thanks for sharing.

GwynR 06-14-2011 04:52 PM

TFquilter 06-14-2011 04:54 PM

We don't have the amount of heat and humidity that you have and also I have lots of shaded areas to work in where hostas thrive. The size of a hosta depends on the variety. The secret to weed-free beds is mulch! If you can find cheap mulch, you are done weeding once it is down. And that allows me time to quilt!

Beautiful Gardens....my wife and I have been trying to get our planting done for the year but the heat and lack of rain has halted it ...expecting rain tonight and tomorrow so maybe we can finish up this week

Jingle 06-14-2011 05:04 PM

Your gardens are absolutely gorgeous. Gets too hot and dry around here to grow anything decent, watering with a hose just doesn't do the job. I only have flowering bushes, roses, and perrenials, return every year.

lpsewing 06-14-2011 05:06 PM

Beautiful in every way.
Looks very relaxing !!

MawMaw B 06-14-2011 05:16 PM

Wow! What a nice yard and garden area. Someone surely has a green thumb.

debcavan 06-14-2011 05:17 PM

Beautiful gardens

earthwalker 06-14-2011 08:55 PM

What a lovely place you have. The peony is beautiful...don't think I could get one to survive on our patch of droughty, gravelly hill country. It's raining though, for which I am exeedingly grateful.

BarbaraA 06-14-2011 09:00 PM

How pretty!

fleurdelisquilts.com 06-14-2011 09:05 PM

Peonies!!!! I love those! They don't grow or do anything here in La. It's too hot. Yours is absolutely stunning. If I ever get the chance to design fabric, I think I'll have to include some peonies and maybe a few other flowers that we don't get to enjoy in the swamp.

I despise yard work. The result is that my yard is blech and blah and mostly weeds. I pay a guy to mow it every two weeks just avoid being THAT yard one reports to the city. I wish I had a green thumb, just don't. But I admire the fruits (and vegetables and flowers) of your labor. Kudos!

Dotsie 06-15-2011 03:20 AM

Thanks for sharing, so beautiful.

NUTMEG10 06-15-2011 03:34 AM

What a beautiful yard. So peaceful looking and would be a joy to be in. Great space that you have. Potting shed is adorable.

sewgarden 06-15-2011 03:46 AM

You have a beautiful garden.

Rumbols 06-15-2011 03:54 AM

Nice yard. Wish I could be outside and such a nice place to sit. Lucky you.

Your yard is beautiful! I see I am not the only quilting flower lover. I have 2 large beds, one my full sun perennial bed, and one my shade perennial bed. Right now the lilies are starting and the Japanese Iris are in full bloom.

piepatch 06-15-2011 04:33 AM

What a beautiful sight ! I love your flower and vegetable gardens, and everything else I see in your picture........just a lovely sight to see.

boohoofish 06-15-2011 05:08 AM

Thanks for sharing - I just love peonies and have missed them and lilacs since moving south. Your peony is gorgeous!!!!!!!!

19angel52 06-15-2011 05:19 AM

so pretty! Am a city dweller now - and really appreciate your photos. Thanks!

scrapbeagle 06-15-2011 05:24 AM

Your yard is beautiful. I especially loved seeing the peony. I would love to plant some, but I think it may be too warm here in the South. Thanks for sharing your paradise.

Vat 06-15-2011 05:39 AM

Your pictures are very nice but what do they have to do with QUILTING ? ! ! ! Posted in the wrong place.
