This is a "Home of the Brave" quilt that I just finished. The Home of the Brave project sends quilts to families of soldiers who have been killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. I made several of these 2 years ago that went to the families of soldiers that my daughter served with in Afghanistan. This one is not going to anyone that I know this time. I will deliver it the coordinator at my guild next month.
There are 15 blocks and in the center of each block is a square of muslin that is for people to sign. I took it to my dad's 80th birthday this weekend and had my family sign it. There are 2 remaining blocks that I will sign and get my DH to sign. One of the signatures is my dd #2, Jennifer and my sister-in-law, Petra |
That is awesome ! Wonderful of you to make these quilts for the families that have given so much

Very nice...
can I ask, or is it just me, why is it narrow? Kirsten Never mind...I think I answered my own question.. |
This was a very touching act of kindness. Bless you for doing this for them.

That's wonderful!!

Beautiful! What a thoughtful touch of having your family sign the quilt. Your soldier will be so greatful for the quilt and the blessings you are sending. Thank you for your service to our troops and families!
