Just finished my daughter's college blanket
 

Well, I didn't get my daughter's college blanket finished before she left for college, but a couple weeks late isn't too bad. I had a hard time finding a black blanket. I had the mule head appliqued and the letters ready to roll. Finally Walmart put out their fuzzy blankets. I can't wait to give it to her when she comes home.

She is going to love it. I love the mule mascot. It is adorable.

Very special regardless of when she gets it. Besides getting ready for college is a stressful and exciting time so getting something this special at a later date is best. Way ta go, mom.

Thank you all. I wanted to make something unique and I think this is very different. I'm hooked on applique, but these were some big letters and it took awhile. My eyes are sore from appliqueing black stitches on black. It is so hard to see.

Thanks Linda. I also graduated from UCM in 2008 with my master's degree. I went to the extension center in Lee Summit for two years. It is a nice college and close enough to home.
