Gramyx7 02-09-2013 09:58 AM

Lots and lots of work went into that... I hand stitched a king... with two different sized flowers.. then quilted it on my machine.. I went around each hexagon.. my fingers were so sore from piecing the quilt together is why I put it on the machine... turned out beautiful anyway... customer loved it... yours is beautiful I hope you keep the black background.. very pretty makes your flowers pop.. :) have fun

jpmaroni 02-10-2013 04:15 AM

Your little something is quite amazing!!!

JoyjoyMarie 02-10-2013 04:34 AM

It's beautiful, and the black gives it that contemporary modern feeling! I envy your patience in making this!

Geri B 02-10-2013 05:13 AM

I was surprised to see that you are appliquing those flowers onto the background. I have done gfg, but have just added hex background to flowers and it has "grown" that way........your way is interesting to me. Have fun finishing it....

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 02-10-2013 05:16 AM

I'm in awe. I really wish I were not too lazy to do one of those.

leighway 02-10-2013 05:20 AM

I don't normally care for hexies, but I really like what you've done with the dark background and the types of fabric you've used. This is going to finish as a work to be proud of!

kksewnsew 02-10-2013 06:04 AM

I've been working on a hexie quilt. I'm sure it will be a work in progress for some time. Give yourself a huge pat on the back. It looks terrific!!!!!

wolph33 02-10-2013 06:06 AM

that is beautiful-absolutely beautiful

solstice3 02-10-2013 06:20 AM

bibi 02-10-2013 06:55 AM

Are you appluquing? Or just showing on the backing you plan to use? Whichever, it is turning out great! I've done a couple of hexagon quilts, but I used a larger hexagon, mostly because I always lacked patience, I'm a slow worker and like to get through as quickly as possible!

Country1 02-10-2013 08:26 AM

You have to have alot of patience. It is beautiful!
