That's what I was wondering. If you have one piece a little bigger than another, always put the bigger one on the bottom and the feed dogs help you to ease them together. So maybe this is because you have too much pressure on the presser foot and it's pushing the top through faster than the bottom.

Well...not exactly perfect. Lowering the pressure was not the fix.
Problem was in the cutting. Took all the stitching out and restitched using the 1/4" foot, medium pressure and putting the larger block on the bottom. Got it done--again. It fits.


Now when I join these block to the nex ones there will be a lot of breath holding.

This is the case so...in joining the next four together, I'm beginiing at the center point and working toward the edge with the larger block on the bottom. Still getting a small amount to trim. You can see it on the yellow.
