This is my first full sized quilt. I used the Quilt-as-you-go method that I found on this board http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-36303-1.htm. The storm troopers are iron-on and the Lego logo, bricks, and faces are appliqué. I had a great time designing and making this. I have to admit though....after all the time it took to make it, I got pretty sick of it in the end. Does this happen to you? My 9 year old son is thrilled to bits with it and that made it all worth while.

I'm glad a sneaked a peek while at work - if my boys saw this it would be on my to do list!
Adorable. And yes, I do get sick of some projects near the end; some I'm sad to see finish. I think that these two reasons account for many UFOs and WIPs. Have to admit I force myself to finish what I start before I start something new. Hope to continue with this approach because UFOs and WIP stress me out! |
Looks good. My son is a lego freak, but at 13 1/2 y/o, would think the quilt top juvinille

That's a really cool quilt!!! I bet he does love it! You did an awesome job with your design, colors, etc. Yes, I've found that towards the end of making a quilt...I'm pretty tired of it. But when it's done it feels so good! I think then I'll stop awhile and take a break...like maybe it's time to clean my neglected house. Well, that lasts for about 2 seconds...and I'm off to my next project! lol!

I love your quilt! My grandsons would be thrilled with it and I so love that pattern you used! I am thinking how you could just put different designs in the center and still use those bright colors in the attic window block! Quite nice, indeed.
