At last I have my lilac quilt ready to quilt.
I've ditched between the blocks (10 1/2 ins) and will free motion now. Thought maybe do some meandering blossom in the lilacs block and still thinking what to do in the Union blocks. I don't think I can manage to do an all-over design, it's too big and block at a time will be lots easier. |

It is lovely. Have you decided how you are going to quilt it? Do you use stencils etc.?

No, not finally decided. Will keep it simple as I want to free motion it block at a time. I'm stuck how to do the pieced block - does anyone have any (easy!) ideas for me?

Very pretty! The lilacs remind me of childhood memories and all the lilac bushes blooming in May in Mn. Thanks for sharing your lovely quilt.

I would quilt the pieced patches in the ditch, actually maybe 1/4 if an inch around the pieces, to mimic hand quilting. Just a thought. :lol: |
It's beautiful...and peaceful looking. I bet who ever sleeps under that quilt wakes up from a very restful sleep.
