When I first saw the book at Joanns for Locker Hooking I thought ha ha that is just what I need...I have so many fabrics I no longer really want for quilts but wanted to use them up and this is done with 1" wide strips of fabrics.....really eats up a lot of fabric...I did simple scrappy placemats and hot pads.
It is very easy to do and you can get far more creative with your patterns ...mine were simple...I use mine every day and just love them..

I tried this, but ended up giving the hook & canvas away. It seemed like such a great way to use scraps but hooking the fabric into the canvas just made my wrists & fingers ache.
Yours look lovely and exactly what I imagined, great job!

Oh I am sorry you could not do it...I am lucky that I have no arthritis at all yet and it doesn't bother my hands at all...lol going to keep doing as much as I can because I am sure "Art" will catch up with me sooner or later

Oh no, something else I just have to try! Thanks, it really does look like fun.

I can't imagine wrangling larger pieces of canvas.
