I had heard about freecycle from many of you on this site, so I decided to try it.
I posted for quilting material on the one here in my area, and I heard from a woman that had some quilt batting and "some quilt tops". I picked it up and it was a bag filled with quilt blocks and a couple of quilt tops. I kept some of them, but gave most of them away to members here. I thought that I would post some pics of the ones that I kept. This is a close up of one of the embroidered blocks. I really do have tunnel vision. The first thing I saw was that darling kitty! My husband always laughs at me b/c he says I have radar for cats. I see them wherever we go long before anyone else does :D

Wow, the hand embroidery is beautiful. Can you imagine how long it took to make them all? I hope you finish it into something decorative rather than functional.
Have you decided what to do with the other blocks? Most of the hard work looks to have been done on them already! |
