A friend call me Monday night and wanted to know how long it would take me to make a baby quilt for her. Her niece will be here Sunday for a weeks visit before she leaves for Calf. The problem was she wanted Winnie the Pooh. so I went to ebay and got the fabric, came in yesterday. Here is the finished results

Janstar 09-27-2008 07:43 PM

Darling baby quilt. Do you make all your quilts that fast?

ceannastahr 09-27-2008 08:43 PM

I wish every quilt went as fast as this one. Crystal realy wanted to be able to give it to her niece in person instead of mailing it to Calf. So I locked my self in my sewing room and told everybody to leave me alone.

You need to change your name to "Speedy" - I too would still be trying to figure out what pattern to make let alone having such a beautiful work all done. Thanks so much for sharing - your friend will be beside herself to think you have it done so quickly and her daughter and baby will be excited I am certain.

I bought material for a quilt for my grandson as soon as she knew it was a boy and I still havent started it. I havent found the pattern I wanted but yours is perfect to show off the print.

okay, I can do that! What sizes are your blocks and strips?

ceannastahr 09-29-2008 09:24 AM

The center block is a 5" block on point the total block is a 7" square
The sashing is 2" and the border is 3"

achancy 09-29-2008 09:31 AM
