Look At What My Mom Did In Four Years!
8 Attachment(s)
When my mom came for a visit at age 82 I wondered how we could work on a quilt project together. Her quilting method is "by-guess-and-by-golly" and I'm a technician. I love accuracy...so I taught her paper piece foundation and a tiger was unleashed! We made a quilt in five days. I think it is the last picture in this thread. She is now 86 and she has made more than 15 quilts in the past four years. She chose the fabrics for each one. Her routine is to go to her sewing room each morning for three hours and look at her accomplishments. Be inspired and enjoy!

Wow...all are beautiful!

That is really impressive. She chooses great patterns and colors and does an outstanding job of piecing.

I'll have to see where I have a picture of Mom. She hates to have her picture taken. Thanks for your comments. I told her I was going to post her quilt pictures here and I really want her to see your comments so I'll send this thread to her in a few days.
Again, thanks for your comments. I think it will bless her tremendously! Natalie |
