Many Firsts in this Quilt for my Great Nephew

4 Attachment(s)
Firsts: Used a pre-cut: a jelly roll
first stars
first pinwheels (see back)
first FMQing
The pattern is Stars and Strips from Atkinson Designs. It's large for a baby quilt: 46 x 56, but he can drag it around for a long time. This is a very easy pattern, no points to match!

I put it in the mail yesterday, with more than a little separation anxiety!

Now, bear with me, cause I haven't posted a picture in a long time, since the new website software was installed.

The first is of the pieced top before the borders

Ok, picture size is pretty small; I resized it per Patrice's instructions, but it's from my cell phone, so.....

Next is the finished quilt front

and the back

and the label

I forgot to take a close-up of the FMQ, it's not the greatest, but from a galloping horse...
And, no more quilt pictures with my cell phone.

Very nice quilt. I like the added border

I love the border. So much better than a plain one. That's all I do is plain borders - I may need to step out of my comfort zone on the next one! Love your colors throughout also.

Awesome job! At least the baby won't outgrow it quickly.

I think it's great. I think easy patterns are great in that they produce simple, yet striking results.

Oh my! I love everything about this quilt! The colors are great! The pattern is nifty! And I, too, love, love, love the borders. I'm a "plain borders" gal, too (by the time I get to the borders, I'm so sick of the quilt I'm working on that I just want it DONE) & this inspires me to step out of that box. Great job! Thanks for sharing this little gem with us!
