Just because I'm so darn finicky about some things, I decided I didn't like the first one anymore. This second one, I'm very happy with! AAAAANNDDD... my points all match up pretty well!
I'm trying to come up with ideas about what to do with the rest of the quilt... any suggestions would be appreciated!

That's an amazing job!!

Will you applique it onto something? A square?

Baren*eh*ked_canadian 11-30-2008 05:15 PM

Well, I think I'm going to put some white around it to make it square, and then do something fun with the borders, but I'm not sure what. So far, my center is 28" across.

another non-noobish creation!!! :-)

since the rest of us liked your first one so much more than you do ... why not unstitch it a little and turn it into four quarter-compasses to use in the corners of the finished quilt?

Patrice, you and I are definitely on the same wave length...I was thinking about quarter compass in the corners too!!

Fantastic Job, you done extra good this time, practice makes perfect so they say :D

Actually, that is an awesome idea, except that I would make new ones because I've eliminated the red entirely...

Ooo, I'm all excited now...better go work on it!

ok, so I havent' gotten to the edges yet, but I wanted to share my second step with you all. This is the first time I do the flying geese pattern, plus it was rounded, and I didn't have a pattern, but I think I planned everything out pretty well, I guess my math skills aren't as bad as I thought.
The edges are not trimmed yet, as you can kind of see through my white fabric, but you still get the idea.

VERY beautiful work there. Wish I could give you some ideas but I'm blank right now.

Don't worry about the rest. I will quilt that and bind it and make a beautiful wall hanging or table toppr. Gorgeous!
