I have a friend that lost her 13 yr old daughter when she was killed in a car accident. She saved some of her clothing and asked me to make a quilt for her. I suggested using photos also. The clothing was tee-shirts, pajamas, gym cloths, swimsuit, pants, fleece jacket, baby sweater, socks, etc. It was challenge to say the least--using so many different fabrics and getting a color balance, I used red flannel for the backing. This was a very time consuming but worth the effort.

Whoops, I didn't realize the photo was not rotated. Sorry.

Thank you to both of you. I'm hoping others will be inspired to attempt this. It was a surprise to be given a laundry basket of "odd" clothes to work with, and took a bit of time to figure out how to incorporate everything.

That's a very touching memory quilt, you've done a great job incorporating all those different fabrics into one quilt.
