This started out to be a specific pattern, but when I had about 2/3 of the blocks sewn, I realized I'd put them together wrong. This is a throw about / t-v / truck quilt, so decided it would just turn into a patchwork. This is what resulted. The outer blue is going to be the backing. It is fleece and I will use it for binding also.
I was pushed to get it finished before knee replacement surgery tomorrow. Still have to do the quilting. Michael's Christmas Quilt |
Great quilt, love the way you used the colors. I;m sure he is going to love it.
Good luck on your surgery, am in the first weeks of my second knee replacement. Thank goodness I have only two knees. The secret to recovery is doing your physical therepy and continuing the exercises. I made a scrappy couch throw before my surgery and have hand quilted it during my recovery period. Helps pass a lot of time and can still do what you love. My prayers will be with you, it is a painful process and healing is slow. Let us know how you are doing as you go along. Jane Sisk |

Wow! Love the blues and yellows, he is going to love it! :D :D :D
Hope you have a very speedy recovery! :D |
Michael's school colors are yellow and blue, so that is where the color combo came from.
I just browsed through all of the postings on Tim's Star BOM --it is really interesting to see how different people interpret the same block. Sure are some stunning blocks on that discussion "string". |
It looks fab, love blue and yellow combos :P . All the best for your surgery, will be thinking of you.

Just love the colors- you're on my prayer list.
