I have recently set up my MIL's sewing machine, cleaned her up, oiled her and she sews just great. Found the my 1/4 foot works on her so she will be great as a back up machine. I remember my MIL sewing on that machine and all the great clothes she made for my daughter. Makes me feel close to her to use her machine and remember good times with her.

oh! that cabinet is divine! I deeply loved my mom-in-law too. Wouldn't your mil be so happy to know her machine is in your home? :-)

Lucky you!

Looks great! I'd definately use her on a project.
I've found I can't use two different machines for sewing the same project. Don't ask me why! We all know a 1/4" seam *should be* a 1/4" seam on all machines...but it ain't. Enjoy! |
Beautiful machine and beautiful memories. Happy Quilting!

That is a pretty machine, but the cabinet just makes it beautiful. I am sure the memories are the best part. I often wish my mom hadn't traded in the Singer I learned to sew on, it would be so nice to have that now that she is gone.
