I was experimenting with the disappearing 9 patch when of course, I screwed it up. It was a pretty large block so I squared it to 12 and 1/2 by cutting off 2(ish) inches from each side. Then I got to thinking, what if I cut it 4 ways diagonally and sewed it back together again?

uhh, no. remember, I screwed it up, so it wasn't working.

But then I remembered the two inch borders I cut off. So I told my cat to move and then I sewed them down the middle and came up with this bad boy. It's wonky (my middle name). I'm sure you skilled engineering masters could do a better version of this so I thought I'd share the idea. I apologize if I offend the quilt police. ;)

Very interesting, now if you can just repeat the "mistakes" for the rest of the blocks! LOL
Love it.

I absolutely love this. I'm marking this page to add to my collection of "I'd love to make some like this".

I love it too. Maybe someone will figure it all out for us!
