I made the star quilt for a co-worker for her July birthday. the yellow squares was a shiny thin material that i used fusible interfacing to make it strong enough for the quilt. The friend kept having to get it back from her 7 year old daughter so I made the split log cabin in pinks and green for her daughter that Xmas. Good thing daughter loved frogs too! A few months later the friend was totally upset with her daughter as she had been kicked off the school bus for fighting so she "gave " her to me. From then on, I was her "other mom".

I really like the star pattern. What's the name of it?

OHHhhhhh, both are pretty. I curious about how you made the thin fabric stronger.

Beautiful quilts!

Beautiful quilts and loved your story!

Yeah, I *gave* away my daughters a couple of times and raised a few "other daughters", too. Kind of fun in a way, not so much emotional baggage, more talking I found. :)
I'm sure your quilts are loved! Jan in VA |
