My 13 yo granddaughter's first quilt

She started this a couple of years ago and recently got back to working on it. She chose all the fabrics, did all the cutting and fusing and all the sewing. She did a great job!!

Whoa, she is on the way to being a life-time quilter. Never too early to start. I didn't start till I was in my 60's and now I can't sew fast enough to get thru my stash.

She really did a great job on her quilt. I think the secret for teaching kids to quilt is to let them work at their own speed and when they are interested. You have taught her a life long skill.
