My stepdaughter has been asking me for awhile now to teach her how to quilt. She is going to be 9 in a couple of weeks. So this weekend we got to work....here is her top. (She did all the blocks but I did put the top together for her because she was a little overwhelmed with how much fabric she had to adjust) But she really did a great job on the blocks.

I never thought about the journal idea. She loves to write so I will have her do that. Her grandma gave her the fabric for Christmas because she had said she wanted to make a quilt so that does make it even more special for her.

That makes it a 3 generation quilt! It's beautiful and your little girl is too!
