I was asked to see my Avatar. It's the 12 Days of Christmas. I decided no more real trees for me. But I still wanted a tree without all the mess. Found the fabric about 5 years ago and could never figure out how to use it. So I designed my own tree pattern. It was a big hit at our Quilt show last year. Over 100 lights used. And yes it's plugged into the wall outlet. LOL

Oh that is just great! I made a tree quilt this year for the same reason...didn't want to hassle with a tree and our cats are constantly bothering it. I bought some of those tiny, rice size lights for it but don't know how to attach them. I see you figured it out so I have to ask, whould you mind telling me how you did that. The lights I have are battery operated. thanks, Sandy

I would also like to know how to attach lights. I saw some mini christmas lights at Hancocks the other day, think battery operated. And I have a pattern for a pieced christmas tree that I was thinking of doing something like this. But I didn't know how to get it so the lights were stabilized on the front, with the battery pack or plugs on the back. I was thinking maybe tiny grommets but they wouldn't be that tiny to be able to thread the other lights through. Tell us oh wise magician.. how do you work such twinkly magic.. It's beautiful.

Do the lights get hot enough to burn the fabric? It's a novel idea and looks great!
