A while back I saw a quilt on here, http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-112804-1.htm , and my DD fell in love with it. She's going to be 7 on the 21st so I private messaged Izy and asked if I could copy the idea of her quilt. I made it into a full size for my cuddlebug and used some of her favorite designs and fabrics. I still have to handstitch the binding down but wanted to take a picture before I washed it (there was a smudge on the yellow border, so I wanted to wash it as soon as possible).

No pattern. I just copied the look of Izy's quilt but made it larger. The appliques were just coloring pages I printed from Google.com. If you go to google and type in, "Hello Kitty Coloring Pages" and then click on "Images" to search, it will pull up quite a variety. Then I did the 3D Pinwheels since my daughter loved them so much when I made them recently for a baby quilt and I knew that Izy had used them, as well.

What a beauty!! I LOVE your version too, lots of detail on the blocks, this will be adored as is the one I made for Carmen!!

Thanks everyone! Tomorrow is her birthday so I suppose I should not be on here, but actually finishing the hand stitching on the binding! :lol: There's only one side left so it shouldn't take me long. I'll post pics of her with her quilt tomorrow or Friday. Thanks again!

Very pleased! It was 106 degrees here yesterday (we only have a/c in the bedrooms) but when we cuddled up to watch a movie for her birthday night, she grabbed the quilt and started covering up herself and her daddy! His jaw dropped and then said, "I thought there was a slight chill in here!" :lol: She giggled and covered him up more!

It's all right. I took this idea from another woman's quilt on here. In the smaller, side blocks, Hello Kitty is doing several different things, but it's harder to see in such a large quilt. I have her riding a dolphin, having a tea party, and so on. I used coloring book pages to make them.
