I am making this quilt for a great niece who is expecting a baby boy in June. Working by the seat of my pants and helpful suggestions from a friend. Do you have any suggestions? Haven't come up with a border idea yet. What do you think?

I just love it! I made my niece a "farm quilt" in March and used South Seas matching fabric that made a white picket fence.

A rail fence for the border?
Cute quilt ... and will provide lots of fun!! Perhaps include a story book or two about the farm! |
You are off to a great start! How fun. :)

make the border with a combination of animals motifs maybe can be quilted in. Use a green border and do big stiches that rwesembles animals and put his name in it.

It is so cute. How about a checkboard border
Wow, is all I can say! For the border (it's a farm isn't it") Put a split rail fence around it somehow!...or, there are some great fabrics with farm prints, etc.
Really cute!! Neat animals!
Awesome job!!! What a beautiful idea. How about a piano key border using all your brights?
WOW, great job!

I looked again--fish in the creek, a frog on the edge, how about a turtle, too? |
Awwww.....that's so cute!!!
Does it even need a border? I think it would just look nice with binding...maybe in dark green or brown. Show us again when you have it finished! It is really cute!
a very good learning quilt especially if the baby will not have a chance to actually get to see these animals in person. I made one for my great nephew, and he just loves it. His mother wanted to hang it on the wall but he wouldn't hear of it.

This is so cute. What a great job you've done on it. How about a barn cat and a border collie sheep dog, a few flowers with a couple of pretty butterflies
